Maternal Mental Health
Motherhood can bring incredible joy while also introducing emotional, physical, and life changes that are not always openly discussed. At Nurture & Thrive, maternal mental health services focus on psychoeducation, awareness, prevention, and connection to resources for mothers, parents, families, and the professionals who support them.
Psychoeducation
Motherhood can bring incredible joy while also introducing emotional, physical, and life changes that are not always openly discussed. At Nurture & Thrive, maternal mental health services focus on psychoeducation, awareness, prevention, and connection to resources for mothers, parents, families, and the professionals who support them.
Through educational resources, presentations, and community-based programming, I help create conversations around maternal emotional wellness and provide practical information that helps individuals recognize when additional support may be needed.
Topics may include:
- Understanding postpartum depression and anxiety
- Recognizing signs of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders
- Emotional wellness during pregnancy and postpartum
- Coping with the transition into motherhood
- Maternal grief and pregnancy or child loss
- The importance of self-care and support systems
- Balancing motherhood, relationships, work, and personal identity
- Reducing stigma surrounding maternal mental health
- Recognizing when and how to seek professional support
- Helping families better support mothers during pregnancy and postpartum
Prevention & Early Intervention
Prevention initiatives may include:
- Youth Mental Health First Aid
- Early identification of youth mental health concerns
- Maternal mental health education and early warning signs

The goal is not to wait until someone reaches a crisis. By increasing awareness, encouraging early conversations, and equipping communities with practical tools, Nurture & Thrive works to help individuals and families recognize concerns sooner and connect with the right support when it is needed.
Educate early. Recognize the signs. Strengthen support. Help prevent a crisis.
Awareness & Advocacy
At Nurture & Thrive, awareness is about creating conversations that help individuals and families feel seen, informed, and supported. Through education and advocacy, I aim to bring greater attention to mental health concerns that are often misunderstood, overlooked, or difficult to talk about.
Drawing from both my professional background in social work and my lived experiences as a mother, I am passionate about helping communities understand the importance of mental wellness, early recognition, support, and access to appropriate resources.
Awareness initiatives may focus on:
- Maternal Mental Health Awareness
- Pregnancy, Infant & Child Loss Awareness
- Youth Mental Health Awareness
- Grief and bereavement awareness
- Postpartum depression and anxiety education
- Mental health stigma reduction
- Suicide prevention and early intervention awareness
- Family and caregiver support
- School and community mental wellness
- Connecting individuals and families to mental health and community resources
Through social media campaigns, community events, educational materials, partnerships, and awareness initiatives, Nurture & Thrive strives to help make conversations about mental health and grief more compassionate, accessible, and understood.
Awareness creates conversation. Conversation creates connection. And connection can help people recognize that support is available.
